phonicSpelling WORKBOOK, Practical EveryDay Spelling, Three 90-Minute CDs

It might be fun or challenging to guess at words, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to try completing phonicSpelling exercises without audio input.  That's because the study of phonics is supposed to connect spoken sounds to printed letters--and vice versa. Perhaps half the material in the Practical Everyday Spelling Workbook (those section marked with an Ear Logo) should be heard--and later repeated or read aloud from its spelling. These three 90-minute CDs provide the necessary native-speaker pronunciation models. 

The set of three CDs, or three audiocassettes contain all the textbook material marked in the texts with ear logos. So that students can connect pronunciation with spelling, they are encouraged to listen to these words as they write the missing letters. The CDs are especially useful to students using the books for home or individual study, in learning labs, and for classroom and tutoring situations without native-speaking pronunciation models or correction.

They can be purchased separately or in a package with a copy of the student text.
