Phonics BINGO, Intermediate Level = 80 25-Box Word & Picture Grids with 8 Sets of Caller Cards + 80-Page Activity & Idea Book

Intermediate-Level Phonics Bingo Grids show 25 items each, many with less common, but still regular, spelling patterns. Most words are of one syllable, but there are a few with additional syllables produced by grammatical suffixes. Both plural nouns and past-tense verbs are included.  As in all other levels, four of the games focus on consonants, and the other four, on vowels.

Reference charts of the relevant sound-symbol correlations at the bottom of each page will help teachers and tutors give  helpful answers as questions arise. Or game-players will be able to "teach" one another the patterns and principles that apply to the phonics and spelling of the items on that Grid.  

The accompanying Intermediate Activity & Idea Book offers everything from previous levels and more. Two particularly useful features are the notes following reduced-sized images of its 8 Game Grids and a complete "phonics mini-course” for teachers and learners.  Its suggestions for preparatory lessons, cooperative-learning activities, Lotto/Bingo procedures and variations, and other ways to make productive use of the game materials offer more challenge than ideas in lower-level books.  Alphabetical reference lists show the 200 items displayed on the Caller Cards and Grids. In addition, there are rhyming-word lists for some of the items; instructors or students can use these create additional Lotto/Bingo materials.  And of course, there are reproducible "Mastery Checks" followed by answer keys--to be used to assess learner progress and mastery.
