After "easing into" the productive, educational uses of word puzzles, the approximately 110-Page Advanced phonicSpelling Tear-Off Pad  begins with two 16-page sections targeting (initial and final) consonants and (simple and complex) vowel sounds-spelling patterns and principles.  These present and elicit mostly one-syllable vocabulary items; the words are "advanced" because have have most possible common, less frequent, unusual, and exceptional letter combinations.  The third, fourth, and fifth sections (in development) introduce and practice the concepts of "Open Vs. Closed, Stressed Vs. Unstressed Syllables," "Word Parts" (Prefixes, Word Roots, and Suffixes), and "Word Groups" (Rhyming Words, Homographs & Homophones, and Possible Confusing Words).

The design and content of these engaging and entertaining puzzles will appeal to advancing learners that already "love" vocabulary, that want to "know it all," and/or that would like to "systematize" their previously acquired knowledge of pronunciation, spelling, and other word features.  The attractive and versatile, one- or multi-use pages will not only make good use of their enthusiasm for language but will add to it.
