After an introduction to the uses of word puzzles in word-level language instruction, this 90-Page Intermediate-Level  phonicSpelling Tear-Off Pad  begins with two 16-page sections targeting (initial and final) consonants and (simple and complex) vowel sounds and spellings in useful one-syllable vocabulary items.  Most relatively common, "regular," and even unusual letter-spellings have been included; these are displayed in compact phonicSpelling Sound/Letter Charts on each page.

The third and fourth sections (in development) introduce and practice the concepts of "Open Vs. Closed Syllables" and "the Sounds & Spellings of Stressed Vs. Unstressed Syllables," as well as "Word Parts" (Prefixes, Word Roots, and Suffixes).  Two "teaching/learning pages" present the pedagogy of each topic in advance; they later serve to answer questions, for reference, and for language study in depth.  Each section ends with an illustrated Answer Key and Word-Reference List, as well as a "Bonus" phonicSpelling Path Board for competitive games.  These features are useful not only for correction and review but can also be used for self-created beyond-the-page activities, to play word games, and in other useful yet fun ways.     

The design and content of these engaging and entertaining puzzles will appeal to progressing learners that love (or would like to love) words and their uses in "real language." Enthusiasm about language learning makes the process easier and more effective; these motivating products help create positive attitudes.  As they entertain, they teach effectively and efficiently.
