Like the previous Basic-Level  set of puzzles, the Beginning phonicSpelling Tear-Off Pad starts off with a section of Alphabet-Letter Puzzles: Letter Lines, Letter Shapes, Letter Spaces, Letter Finds & Counts, and Letter Words; it includes bonus pages of Letter Cards and Letter Formation practice. 

Three teaching/learning pages begin each of the three 16-page sections that follow.  The first focuses on Initial & Final Consonants in one-syllable words with common spellings. The second  teaches and practices regular vowel sound-letter patterns.  The third introduces the concept of "Open Vs. Closed Syllables" in one-syllable words--as well as "Stressed Syllables" in two-syllable items.   Each section  ends with an illustrated Answer Key and Word-Reference List to be used for preparation, review, beyond-the-page activities, and other educational, but entertaining, purposes.   There is even a reproducible "Path-Board" with relevant letter-spellings to serve for individual or small-group games.
